Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following:

• Must be able to Monday through Friday
• Must be able to work 7:30am-4:00pm
• Must be able to take Call

Responsibilities

As a resource nurse, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• This position provides support for the OR staff and OR management team in a specific surgical specialty
• Serves as a resource for protocols, education needs, materials management, and physician support in surgery
• Functions with competence in all aspects of the Operating Room RN role, both as a scrub and circulating nurse
• This position requires providing service to all age populations, neonatal through frail elderly, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and developmental age of the individual served.

Qualifications

To qualify as resource nurse, you must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• BSN Degree preferred
• State Issued RN license/ Multi-state license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• 2 years of operating room experience strongly preferred
